This spunky nurse out fit arrived for me today. I have ordered it for a hen's night I am going to. I am thinking I will add some red tights and a nurses cape to make it respectable. What do you think?
Aria says tonight, sitting on the couch, "Mum, I am so boy hungry".
I say, startled, "What did you say?"
She repeats, but lays out on the couch, stretching her body, and says, "I am very very boy hungry".
Alex, who had overheard, comes in from the kitchen. We say, in unision, again "What did you say?".
She looks at us, like we are stooopppid and says, "When's dinner? I am hungry like a boy".
It's her 5th birthday soon. I am planning a party. I have been putting it off. It all seems too much. I cannot do small parties. WE have a big family. We have a lot of friends. Which are good things. But make for HUGE parties.
I need advice. I say this after surfing google for about 2 hours tonight. Anyone have some good ideas for party games for big numbers of 5 year olds (with a few younger and older kids too) that are not the usual pass the parcel or sack races?
I am however, progressing nicely with the cake. Thanks to my personal cupcaker Leoni. Go see her at www.happycakes.com. Very nice. I cannot wait to unveil what she does for me ....(no pressure Leoni).

At Abby's party we did coloring pages... princess stuff for the girls. The boys weren't as into that and played outside.
Can't wait to see the divine cupcakes.
OMG go you sexy thing. Can't wait to see the photo's! Oh and thanks for the no pressure thing!!
at my daughters party the girls made a fairy wand also if you wanted to play musical chairs with a large amount of kids and not much room for all the chairs we placed a circle made from felt so when the music stopped they jumped in it ...then just remove one after avery round .enjoy and ......louvvvvvve the costume :) ~B~

Aria's parties have always been extravaganzas. Can't wait for next one!
I love parties :)
For Kara's fifth, we had a mask making table and a smiley face making table ~ the older kids loved it too. The best thing was having animals visit though.... they're called Animal Capers here and for $150, they brought a bunch of different animals (possums, snake, ferret etc)... the kids LOVED it.
Good luck :)
Oops ~ I meant smiley cookies lol.

what about the chocolate game .you have a pile of dress ups (hats, gloves, scarves.jackets easy things to put on over their clothes)then put a large block of dairy milk choc on a plate with a knife & fork then they have to roll the dice and the 1st one to roll a 6 has to put all the clothes on then try and cut the choc with a knife & fork and eat as much as they can. whilst they are doing this the other kids have to roll the dice really fast and when someone rolls a 6 they have to swap it is so funny to watch good game for the adults too hehe ps have a few chocies on stand by for any kids that don`t to eat any have fun ~B~
